Hello! I’m Tackoor Chowtey, a proud labourer from Back Street Better in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and vibrant culture of our land, I’ve always cherished the warmth and resilience of my community. Whether I'm working hard under the sun or enjoying a hearty bowl of callaloo made with fresh spinach, the flavors and friendships of Guyana are always close to my heart. Nothing compares to the heavenly taste of our local dishes, which reflect the rich fusion of our Indian, African, and Indigenous heritage.
As someone who often connects with the Guyanese diaspora, I am reminded of how even from afar, our spirit remains strong.
