Hello! I’m Tagewattie Narine, a passionate teacher based in the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam, specifically on the Essequibo Coast. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our rich culture and vibrant community. As a proud Guyanese, I love sharing the flavors of our culinary delights, especially during festive seasons. While Pepperpot is often associated with Christmas, my heart beats for the everyday dishes like chicken curry, beef curry, and the comforting dhall paired with oil roti. Whether it’s a local gathering or a classroom filled with curious minds, I strive to instill a sense of pride in our traditional foods and customs among the younger generations.
