As a Field Foreman, I oversee various projects that contribute to the growth of our beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region. My work allows me to engage with the diverse cultures that make up our nation, from the rich traditions of our Indigenous peoples to the lively festivals that reflect our East Indian and African heritages.
Growing up near iconic landmarks like the Essequibo River and the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon, I developed a deep appreciation for our natural beauty. Whether it's enjoying the warm, humid weather or savoring a plate of pepperpot during Christmas, my roots are firmly embedded in Guyanese culture. I often reminisce about river outings and the sheer joy of sharing stories with fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora.
