Hello! I’m Taleicia Sewcommar, a proud resident of the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically at 17 Public Road, New Road in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My heart beats to the rhythm of our lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been surrounded by the warmth of our diverse communities, where every gathering is highlighted by the aroma of pepperpot, metemgee, and the sweet taste of mango chutney. Each dish tells a story, just as our people do.
As a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our homeland. I often reminisce about family gatherings during Phagwah, where we celebrate our Indo-Guyanese roots, or the joy of canoeing through our majestic rivers, like the Boradaro, which holds a special place in my heart.
