Hello! I’m Tasoomattie Lawrie, a proud housewife residing on the picturesque Essequibo Coast, just east of Public Road in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in this vibrant area has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and traditions, from the aromatic spices of our famous pepperpot to the tantalizing sweetness of our cassava pone. Here, every meal is a celebration, and I love sharing my love for Guyanese cuisine with family and friends, especially during festive occasions.
As an engaged member of my community, I actively participate in local events that highlight our unique heritage. Whether it’s gathering for a boat ride down the Essequibo River or enjoying the lively atmosphere at a cultural festival, I believe in fostering connections that embrace our roots and uplift our spirit.
