Greetings! My name is Teekaram Persaud, and I am a dedicated teacher residing in Vriesland, a beautiful village in Demerara on the West Bank of Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. I have always been passionate about education and empowering the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and vibrant communities along the Pomeroon River, I draw inspiration from the rich cultural heritage that surrounds me, including the flavors of local cuisine like pepperpot and roti, which unite us all.
My roots in Upper Pomeroon, particularly in areas like Karawab and Cashew Pond, have instilled in me a deep appreciation for our diverse history and traditions.
