Hello! My name is Teena Mahabir, and I proudly call 130 Maria's Pleasure in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up amid the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, I cherish the rich cultural heritage that defines our nation. From the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through the air to the lively sounds of our local festivals, every moment here is a reminder of our deep-rooted traditions and the warmth of our people.
As a resident of this stunning area, I have a special connection to the Pomeroon River and its surroundings. Whether it’s taking a boat ride along the river or sharing stories with friends at the Woodland Settlement, these experiences have shaped who I am. I am also proud to represent the diaspora community, where the spirit of Guyana thrives in every corner of the world.
