Hello and welcome! My name is Timar Jones, and I proudly call Coast 10 Public Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up in the vibrant landscape of Guyana has shaped my identity and instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and traditions. From the lush greenery of the Pomeroon River to the mouthwatering flavors of our local dishes, like callaloo and pepperpot, every aspect of my life here is infused with the warmth of our people's spirit.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I understand the thoughts of those in the diaspora who ponder returning home. It's a mixed bag of nostalgia and reality. People often joke about the high costs of living, especially when you can find a million-dollar property in the U.S. that wouldn't compare to the land you’d hope for in Guyana. Yet, the connection to home is undeniable. We remember the laughter shared over a plate of curry and roti under the starlit sky, and those memories keep us rooted, no matter where life takes us.
