Greetings! My name is Tony Naraine, and I proudly call 62 Richmond Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been surrounded by the vibrant culture that makes our country so unique. From the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River to the rich flavors of our local cuisine, such as the famous pepperpot and the sweet, sticky delight of guava cheese, every aspect of my life reflects the warmth and resilience of our people. As we say in Guyana, “big up” to all the folks keeping our spirit alive, whether at home or abroad!

I often reminisce about the sounds of the village, where the chatter of friends and family fills the air, and the simple pleasures of life remind me of my heritage. I may be far from the bustling streets of Georgetown or the serene beauty of Berbice, but I carry that essence with me every day. The stories and experiences shared by the Guyanese diaspora truly resonate with me, especially when we bond over our experiences and the foods that make our homes feel like home, no matter where we are.
