Greetings! My name is Toolsie Bindraban, and I'm a proud labourer from 66 Sarah Wakenaam in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in a vibrant community surrounded by lush landscapes and the majestic Pomeroon River has shaped who I am today. The rich cultural heritage of our people, from the lively festivals to the mouth-watering dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, fills my heart with pride. Ain't nothing like the taste of home!
Having moved to Georgetown for work, I've had the privilege of connecting with fellow Guyanese who share my love for our roots. Whether it's reminiscing about sweet mangoes from Karawab or discussing the best spots to enjoy a good cook-up rice, the camaraderie within our diaspora is something special. I've often found myself explaining to friends how Guyana is unique in South America, and I take pride in showing them our diverse culture beyond the borders.
