Hello! I’m Towanda Clementson, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo, located in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and the winding Essequibo River has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our natural beauty. Whether it's soaking in the breathtaking views of Kaieteur Falls or enjoying a delicious plate of pepperpot during the holidays, I find joy in the simple pleasures that our culture offers.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I’ve made both locally and abroad. I often reminisce about my childhood adventures in Bartica and the warmth of our community gatherings, where we share stories, laughter, and of course, our signature dishes like roti and curry. It warms my heart to connect with fellow Guyanese, whether they're down the street or overseas, and celebrate our shared identity.
