Hello! My name is Tracy Thores, and I’m proud to call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. Living on Coast 322 Water Street, I embrace the vibrant culture and rich traditions that define our Guyanese identity. From the mouth-watering aroma of our famed cook-up rice to the sweet taste of fresh coconut water, I believe that our food tells the story of our heritage. Whether it’s gathering with family for a Sunday meal or sharing recipes passed down through generations, these culinary experiences are a testament to our resilient spirit.
As a resident deeply connected to my community, I have witnessed the challenges faced by many Guyanese, especially in light of the rapid changes brought by the booming economy. While resources like oil have enriched some, the realities of poverty and inequality persist for many of us. I find strength in the unity of our people, as we strive for better opportunities and a brighter future. My hope is to see our beautiful land flourish, where every citizen can thrive, and where the rich tapestry of cultures—be it from the coast or the hinterland—can come together in harmony.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
