As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I often find myself reminiscing about the simple pleasures of life in Guyana. We often reminisce about our childhoods, the stories passed down from our grandparents, and the little quirks that make our culture so vibrant. I’ve even had friends confess their fears of trying dishes like laba—ironically likening it to something that "looks like a rat!"
