About TREVOR BAHARALLY

About Trevor Baharally

Hello! My name is Trevor Baharally, and I proudly call River Grant Still in Hope my home. As a farmer in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am deeply connected to the land and the vibrant culture that surrounds me. Here in Guyana, we cherish our rich heritage, from the sweet taste of fresh cassava and pepperpot to the warmth of our community gatherings along the Pomeroon River. Our diverse backgrounds contribute to the lively spirit of our festivals, where music and dance bring everyone together, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Living in Guyana means embracing both its challenges and its beauty. While many of us face economic hardships, the resilience of our people shines through. Every day, I work not only to sustain my family but also to contribute to the food security of my community. I believe that sharing stories of our struggles and successes can uplift others, especially those in the diaspora who carry our culture with them wherever they go. Whether it's a simple chat about the local produce at the market or reminiscing about family gatherings in the heart of Georgetown, I take pride in connecting with fellow Guyanese.

As I cultivate my crops and participate in local events, I remain committed to preserving our traditions while also looking towards the future. My hope is to inspire the next generation to appreciate our roots and to dream big, just as my ancestors did. If you ever find yourself in our beautiful land, don't hesitate to reach outβ€”there's always room for one more at the table, and I’d love to share a meal or a story with you!
