Hi, I’m Tulsi Narine, a hardworking labourer from the vibrant Essequibo Coast in Guyana. Nestled along the stunning Pomeroon River, my hometown boasts lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage. I take pride in our unique blend of cultures, deeply rooted in our Indian heritage, which is reflected in the delicious local dishes like roti, curry, and the fragrant rice we grow ourselves. Nothing brings people together quite like sharing a hearty meal or enjoying a refreshing snowcone with condensed milk on a hot day.
Though I currently reside in Regina, I carry the spirit of Guyana in my heart. The warmth of our people and the beauty of our land, from the lush rainforests to the iconic Kaieteur Falls, fill my memories. I often reminisce about the lively streets of Georgetown and the vibrant chatter in the markets. My love for our culture and community keeps me connected, even thousands of miles away. I look forward to the day I can return to my roots and share my experiences with others, perhaps taking them on a journey through the breathtaking Guyanese jungle.
