About TWEIR RANI NARINE

About TWEIR NARINE

Hello! My name is TWEIR NARINE, and I proudly call 20 Public Road Coffee in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and rich cultural diversity of my homeland, I carry with me the essence of our unique heritage. From the rhythm of chutney music that fills the air during our lively festivals to the delightful aroma of pepperpot and roti wafting from kitchens around me, every day is a celebration of what it means to be Guyanese.

As a resident, I cherish the close-knit community that defines our way of life. There's a warmth found in the smiles of my neighbors, and a sense of kinship that transcends borders, especially among the diaspora. Many of us who have ventured to places like Toronto often reminisce about the goodness of home, feeling the pull of our roots even from afar. I believe that sharing our stories, whether it be the tales of the Essequibo River or the bustling markets of Georgetown, strengthens our bonds and keeps our culture alive.

Through my work and community involvement, I strive to connect with fellow Guyanese and share the beauty of our land. Whether it's hosting a backyard cookout with freshly caught fish and homemade cassava bread or participating in local events that celebrate our heritage, I am committed to fostering that deep sense of belonging that is so integral to our identity. Let's celebrate our Guyanese spirit togetherβ€”after all, no matter where we roam, home will always be in our hearts.
