Greetings! Iām Tyana Charles, a proud resident of Mission in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled by the banks of our beautiful rivers, including the Pomeroon and Kamarang, my life here is enriched by the natural beauty that surrounds me and the vibrant culture that defines our community. From the flavors of our traditional dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice to the sounds of our local music, every day is a reminder of what it means to be Guyanese.
As a member of the diaspora, I often reflect on my roots and the shared experiences we have as Guyanese. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
