Hello! I’m Tyrone Bollers, a proud resident of the beautiful Essequibo Coast, nestled right along the vibrant Richmond area. Growing up in this culturally rich region, I’ve been fortunate to immerse myself in the traditions of our Guyanese heritage, from indulging in a hearty plate of pepperpot on Christmas morning to enjoying the sweet aroma of freshly baked cassava pone at local gatherings. The lush landscapes here, especially around the Pomeroon River, remind me daily of the natural beauty that defines our country.
My journey has taken me from the lively streets of Richmond to various corners of the globe, where I’ve connected with the Guyanese diaspora and shared stories of our homeland. Whether reminiscing about the lively festivals, the warmth of our community, or the incredible flavors of dishes like dhal puri and cook-up rice, I find joy in bridging connections and celebrating our culture, no matter where I am.
As we stand on the cusp of exciting developments, like the emerging oil industry, I remain committed to fostering a sense of unity, both locally and abroad.
