Living on Coast 274 Ptolemy Avenue, I embrace the rich heritage that our beautiful country has to offer. From the stunning Essequibo River to the warm community spirit of our neighborhoods, I find joy in the everyday moments that make life here special.
As a foodie at heart, I stand by the belief that Guyana boasts the best Chinese food in South America—yes, even better than Trinidad! Whether it’s savoring a plate of chow mein from a local vendor or enjoying a home-cooked meal filled with spices and flavors unique to our culture, food is a delightful way to connect with my roots. I cherish gatherings with friends and family, where we celebrate our diverse traditions through music, dance, and, of course, great food.
Though geographically situated in South America, I proudly identify with our Caribbean culture. I believe that our identity is shaped by the warmth of our people and the stories we share. Whether I’m reminiscing about childhood memories in Pom River or connecting with fellow Guyanese in the diaspora, I carry the spirit of our homeland wherever I go.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
