Hello! My name is Uma Persaud, and I proudly call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Living along the scenic Coast 21 Sea Road in Reliance, I embrace the vibrant culture and rich traditions that define our way of life. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the flowing rivers of Karawab Bay, I have a deep appreciation for our natural beauty. I often reflect on my childhood adventures exploring the Upper Pomeroon River and the warm camaraderie found in every village. Sharing laughter with friends over a game of cricket or enjoying a hearty meal on a Sunday afternoon brings back fond memories of home, even as I navigate life in a diverse diaspora.
