Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Uneak Jordan, and I proudly call Essequibo home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my community is a vibrant mix of cultures, where the sound of laughter mingles with the aroma of freshly cooked cook-up rice and pepperpot. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our lush landscapes, from the magnificent Kaieteur Falls to the serene banks of the Essequibo River, which I often visit to unwind and reconnect with nature.
As a resident, I’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges and triumphs of our beloved Guyana. While some may speak critically of our political landscape and the realities of daily life, I believe in the resilience of our people. Many of my friends and family are part of the diaspora, and we often share stories about what it means to be Guyanese, both at home and abroad. It’s through these connections that I find strength, and I aim to foster a sense of pride in our beautiful land, despite its imperfections.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
