Hello! I’m Urmilla Hoomale, a proud resident of Anna Regina in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of the Pomeroon River has deeply influenced my appreciation for our rich cultural heritage. The flavors of Guyanese cuisine, from a hearty bowl of pepperpot to the sweetness of coconut custard, remind me of family gatherings and the warmth of our traditions.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry the essence of my homeland wherever I go. The shared experiences, whether it’s reminiscing about lower Pomeroon’s serene beauty or the lively chatter about river fishing, create a strong bond among us.
