Hello! Iām Vadwattie Ramanan, a proud resident of the picturesque Essequibo Coast in Pomeroon-Supenaam. From the tantalizing aroma of pepperpot simmering in the kitchen to the lively sounds of chutney music echoing through our streets, my experiences are shaped by the warmth of our people and the beauty of our surroundings.
Growing up on the Essequibo Coast has given me a unique perspective on the diverse communities that make up Guyana. Sharing stories of our local festivals, like Mashramani, and the delicious dishes we enjoy, such as cook-up rice and black cake, allows me to connect with fellow Guyanese and members of the diaspora, no matter where they are. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, whether it's gathering for a cricket match or celebrating our cultural pride during Phagwah, the festival of colors.
