Hello! I’m Vanessa James, a proud farmer from St. Monica in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Life here is steeped in the rich traditions of our diverse culture, where the aroma of fresh cook-up rice and the sound of kalypso music fill the air. I love tending to my crops and sharing the fruits of my labor with my community, as there’s nothing quite like the taste of homegrown produce. In our small village, we all believe in “One People, One Nation,” and that unity is what makes us strong.
Living in Guyana means being connected to the vibrant diaspora scattered around the world.
