Hello! I’m Vanetta Singh, a proud baker hailing from the vibrant community of River Grant Burn Bush Profit in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. My journey in baking is deeply rooted in the flavors and traditions of my homeland. Growing up, I was inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Guyana, where every meal tells a story. As a baker, I not only aim to satisfy cravings but also to bring a piece of home to the diaspora community. I often draw on local ingredients like cassava, coconut, and guinep to craft delicious treats that evoke nostalgia for many who have left our shores. Whether it’s sharing stories over a slice of bake and shark or reminiscing about the good times with a sweet treat, I believe food has an incredible power to connect us all, regardless of where we are in the world.
