I have a profound love for our local cuisine, especially dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, which remind me of family gatherings and celebrations. Though I now live far from the bustling heart of Guyana, I carry the spirit of my roots with me wherever I go—whether it's sharing stories with fellow Guyanese in diaspora communities or reminiscing about the warm laughter of those back home.
