Welcome! My name is Vernecia August, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam home. As a resident of Bank Essequibo, I am deeply connected to the vibrant traditions and rich culture of Guyana. From enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot at family gatherings to celebrating Mashramani with the community, my life is a reflection of the warmth and resilience that defines our people.
Throughout my journey, I've been inspired by the breathtaking landscapes that surround us—from the lush banks of the Essequibo River to the serene beauty of our local farms. The camaraderie of my fellow Guyanese is truly special, as we come together to support one another, especially during challenging times. I often reminisce about sharing stories with friends about our beloved heritage, much like the pride we feel for our own Letitia Wright, who reminds us of the potential that lies within our community.
As a proud member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with loved ones abroad.
