Greetings! My name is Verone Agard, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo my home. Nestled along the 122 Main Road West in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am fortunate to live among the lush landscapes and vibrant communities that define our beloved Guyana. The essence of our culture resonates deeply within me, from the savory aroma of a traditional pepperpot simmering on the stove to the sweet sounds of calypso music echoing through our streets, reminiscent of the lively days of my childhood.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I cherish the connections we share, both locally and within our diaspora. I often reminisce about the lively gatherings at the Pomeroun River, where family and friends come together to celebrate our heritage, sharing stories and laughter that span generations. I believe it’s important to advocate for the issues that affect our communities, and like many Guyanese, I've been on a mission to amplify our voices and bring about change.
