Greetings! My name is Veronica Ramnarine, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home, specifically from the vibrant Golden Fleece Estate in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. This area, nestled along the banks of the stunning Pomeroon River, is a gem of natural beauty and cultural richness. As a resident, I cherish the serene landscapes and the warmth of our community, which is a mosaic of cultures, including indigenous, Indian, and Afro-Guyanese heritage.
Growing up here, I have been surrounded by the savory aromas of local cuisine, from hearty pepperpot and fresh crab curry to sweet cassava pone. I enjoy sharing meals with family and friends, a tradition that strengthens our bonds and celebrates our diverse backgrounds.
