Nestled along the winding Pomeroon River, our community is rich in culture and history, a place where every corner tells a story. Growing up here, I’ve been surrounded by the vibrant sounds of calypso and the tantalizing aromas of local dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, which remind me of family gatherings and the warmth of togetherness. Whether it's a festive meal or a community event by the riverbank, my heart beats to the rhythm of our beautiful Guyanese heritage.
As a resident of Walton, I cherish the simple pleasures of life—taking leisurely walks along the river, sharing anecdotes with my neighbors, and celebrating our diverse community.
