Hello! I’m Vibert Baird, a proud sailor hailing from the beautiful shores of St. Monica in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in a vibrant community, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich sights and sounds of our culture—from the aroma of fry fish and rice and peas wafting through the air to the lush landscapes of our rivers and forests. The Upper Pomeroon River has been a significant part of my life, where fishing and sailing have deep roots in our traditions.

I cherish sharing our local delicacies, like pepperpot and metemgee, with fellow travelers while proudly introducing them to the warmth of our people.
