Hello! My name is Vickram Darsan, and I’m proud to call Demerara 03 Good Intent West in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. My deep roots connect me to this beautiful land, known for its lush landscapes and vibrant communities. Growing up here, I’ve developed a strong appreciation for our rich cultural heritage—whether it's the aroma of pepperpot simmering during the holidays or the lively atmosphere at the local markets, where you can find everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts. Our unique blend of Indigenous, African, and Indian influences shapes every moment of life here.
As a resident of Guyana, I take immense pride in our national identity, reflected in our spirited debates over territorial claims and our love for the lands we hold dear, such as the Esequibo region. Outside of local discussions, I cherish the connections with our diaspora, who often reminisce about our traditional dishes and the warmth of our community. From Canada to the Caribbean, our stories and flavors travel far and wide, uniting us through shared experiences and memories of home.
In addition to my work in the community, I enjoy sharing the beauty of Guyana with others, whether it's through social media or local gatherings.
