Hello! I'm Vidi Doll Matthias, a proud son of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, I have always held a deep appreciation for my roots. The rich flavors of local cuisine, especially a good plate of roti and curry, remind me of home and our cultural gatherings where laughter and stories flow freely. Though I may be far from home, my heart beats to the rhythm of our traditions.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry with me the enduring spirit of our people, whether it’s celebrating Mashramani or enjoying a drink of mauby on a sunny day. It’s important to me to stay connected with fellow Guyanese, sharing our experiences and ensuring our voices are heard, especially when it comes to matters like our beautiful Essequibo, which holds significance for many of us.
Currently navigating my journey from the warmth of my homeland, I am committed to promoting our culture and engaging with the global community.
