Many of my relatives who moved abroad have returned to invest in beautiful homes here in Demerara, and it fills me with pride to see our heritage flourish. Yet, like many, I recognize the need for improved infrastructure to support this growth. Our roads could use some love, but the spirit of Guyana—our culture, our food, and our people—shines brighter than ever.
As I conduct, I carry the warmth of our traditions and the stories of our land with me.
