Hello! My name is Vivene Trotz, and I am proud to call Bank Essequibo my home. Living on Pump Station Street in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I've spent my days working as a laborer, engaging with the vibrant community around me. Guyana is a place rich in culture, from our lush landscapes to our diverse heritage, and I cherish the opportunity to represent my roots.
Growing up amidst the rhythms of life along the Pomeroon River, I have a deep appreciation for our local customs. Whether it's enjoying a plate of pepperpot on Christmas morning or savoring the sweet delights of swank and mithai, the flavors of Guyana are a part of my identity. I often reminisce about the bustling Stabroek Market, where the smells of fresh produce and spices create an enchanting atmosphere that captures the essence of our nation.
As someone of Afro-Guyanese heritage, I also recognize the importance of our diaspora connections.
