Hello! My name is Vivian Bisram, and I’m proud to call the Essequibo 2018 New Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up in the vibrant landscape of Guyana, I have always drawn inspiration from our rich cultural heritage, from the rhythmic beats of our folk music to the mouthwatering flavors of our local cuisine, like pepperpot and metemgee. It’s the simple joys of sharing a meal with family and friends that truly define our community spirit.
As a resident of Essequibo, I am passionately connected to the lush surroundings, including the breathtaking Pomeroon River, which is a central part of our daily lives. I enjoy keeping up with how our beloved Guyana is evolving, especially as the diaspora keeps growing. It’s heartwarming to hear from fellow Guyanese living abroad, like those in Las Vegas, who still cherish our homeland and its developments.
