Hello! I’m Wayne Evans, a proud Guyanese jetman hailing from the vibrant community of Coast Old Market Street Good in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I’ve always been inspired by the beauty of our rivers and the rich diversity of our culture. There’s something truly special about sharing a plate of pepperpot or enjoyed a sweet cassava pudding with friends and family, especially during our festivities. It’s these moments that remind me of the warmth and resilience of our people.
As I navigate my career, I carry the spirit of our ancestors with me, drawing strength from the rich history of our nation. Whether it’s the rhythmic beats of a tassa band at a celebration or the vibrant colors of our local markets, I strive to bring a piece of Guyana into everything I do. It’s important for me to connect with the Guyanese diaspora, wherever they might be, sharing stories and experiences that celebrate our heritage.
