Greetings! I’m Wazie Baksh, a proud resident of Bank Essequibo, nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the Pom River flows and nature thrives. Growing up surrounded by the rich sounds of our community, from the playful chatter of children to the comforting hum of the river, has shaped my love for this unique environment. Whether I'm enjoying a warm plate of callaloo with spinach or sharing stories from my childhood in places like Castle Lower Pom or Yaramai Creek, the essence of Guyana is always present in my life.
As much as I cherish my life here, I’m equally invested in our diaspora community. I believe it’s important to keep the connection alive with fellow Guyanese around the world.
