Hello! I'm Wesley George, a proud Guyanese and jetman residing in the scenic Pomeroon-Supenaam region, specifically at Cross Canal Dredge. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I have developed a deep love for our rich culture and heritage. From the delightful flavors of pepperpot at festive gatherings to the lively rhythms of our traditional music, I embrace every aspect of what it means to be Guyanese.
As a dedicated contributor to the local economy, my work as a jetman allows me to engage closely with the waterways that are vital to our communities. I often reminisce about the fond memories shared with family and friends down by the Pomeroon River, whether it's enjoying a cook-up rice meal or sharing stories that connect us to our ancestors. I cherish the sense of unity we have, especially as one of the founding fathers of CARICOM, showcasing our commitment to regional collaboration.
With my heart firmly rooted in Guyana, I also feel a strong connection to fellow Guyanese in the diaspora. It’s a joy to share our experiences and highlight the beauty of our homeland, encouraging others to explore places like Sybil's for their famous meals or the breathtaking scenery at Koria.
