Hello! I’m Westley George, a proud miner from Portion Manawarin on Cabucalli Island, nestled in the heart of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush green rainforest meets the flowing rivers. Growing up, I spent countless days exploring places like the Upper Pom River and the Kamandankaro River, where the beauty of our natural resources inspires my work in mining. Each day, I strive to contribute positively to our community, ensuring that the wealth we extract is managed with respect for our environment and our people.
Guyana is a melting pot of cultures, and our traditional dishes, like pepperpot and metemgee, often bring family and friends together. The aroma of cooking fills the air during celebrations, reminding us of the warmth of our heritage.
