Hello! I’m Wilfred Andrews, a proud carpenter hailing from the vibrant community of West Coast Demerara. My workshop is located at 95 First Street North, where I’ve crafted everything from intricate furniture to sturdy structures, all infused with the essence of our rich Guyanese culture. Growing up with the sounds of our local music and the aroma of curry chicken and goat wafting through the air, I’ve always embraced the flavors and rhythms that make our homeland unique.
Guyana is more than just a place; it’s a feeling. Whether I'm enjoying a festive Christmas meal with family or reminiscing about the times spent at iconic spots like Manawarin Hideout, I carry the spirit of our land with me. Though many of us have found new homes across the globe, including in New York and Trinidad, the bond we share as Caribbean people is unbreakable. I often connect with my fellow Guyanese abroad, reminiscing about the days when we could freely travel and enjoy life back home.
