Greetings! My name is Chris Williams, and I proudly call Mission in the Barima-Waini region my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I've cultivated a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the mouth-watering aroma of fiwi jerk chicken sizzling on the grill to the soothing sounds of the Pomeroon River as it flows by. My roots are intertwined with the traditions of our diverse people, and I cherish the stories passed down through generations, especially those from my beloved River Massarie Settlement.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I take immense pride in our natural wonders, such as the breathtaking views from Upper Pom River Bird View in St. Monica. Each day is an opportunity to explore the beauty of Baracaro Island and the nearby Wakapau, where the vibrant flora and fauna remind me of the resilience and warmth of our communities.
