Greetings! My name is Wilma Ramcharran, and I proudly call Essequibo 7, Lima Sands, Anna, Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a dedicated housewife, I cherish the vibrant culture of our beloved Guyana, from the lush greenery of our rivers to the rich flavors of our traditional dishes. Whether it’s preparing a hearty plate of pepperpot or enjoying fresh fish from the Pomeroon River, every meal is a celebration of our heritage.
Growing up surrounded by the natural beauty of our land, I have a deep appreciation for the diverse communities that make up our nation. I often reminisce about the days spent by the Karawab Creek and River Jamaica Settlement, where the laughter of friends and family mingled with the sounds of nature. My heart also beats for the Guyanese diaspora, as I connect with fellow loved ones around the world, sharing stories and experiences that keep our culture alive, no matter the distance.
As we navigate our daily lives, I believe it's essential to honor our roots while embracing the future. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
