Greetings! I’m Wimlawattie Prsaud, a proud resident of Regina Essequibo Coast, situated 13 east of Public Road in the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this lush region, where the Pomeroon River flows, bringing life and cultural richness to our land. Growing up near the riverbanks, I’ve always cherished the sweet taste of ripe mangoes and the delicious meals of curry chicken served with rice, which are staples in our homes and a testament to our diverse heritage.
Connecting with my community is incredibly important to me, and I love sharing stories about our beloved landmarks, from the serene beauty of the River Gt Unity to the bustling markets filled with fresh produce and handmade crafts. The spirit of camaraderie among the people here is unmatched, and whether we gather for festivals or simple get-togethers, there's always laughter and a friendly chat that warms the heart.
Today, I find joy in being part of the Guyanese diaspora, as we bridge our vibrant culture with the world. Though some of us wander far and wide, our connection to Guyana remains strong.
