Greetings! Iām Winston Livan, a proud resident of the Coast 119 Housing Scheme in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and vibrant community. Having roots that connect back to both the coastal and riverine areas, I often find myself reflecting on our unique blend of cultures, much like the diverse communities spread across our beloved nation. From the serene waters of the Essequibo River to the bustling streets of Georgetown, the essence of Guyana is reflected in our everyday lives. And while many Guyanese have ventured abroad, our spirit remains intertwined, with friends and family often gathering to share stories, food, and laughter across borders. As noted by many in our diaspora, we can't help but stay connected, with over 30,000 of us living harmoniously in Suriname alone!
