Hello! I'm Yadulall Rampersaud, a proud Guyanese from the serene Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of Zorg en Vlyght in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a labourer, I am deeply connected to the land and its rich resources, which sustains not just my family but our entire community. I have a particular fondness for chicken curry and dhall served with oil roti, a meal that brings people together, especially during our festive seasons. Of course, we can't forget the famous Pepperpot, a dish often reserved for Christmas but beloved year-round by many. It’s these culinary traditions that remind me of the warmth and hospitality of our people, something that resonates deeply, even among the diaspora. I often hear stories from fellow Guyanese abroad, sharing laughs and memories of unique pronunciations and regional tales that keep our culture alive.
As I navigate through life, I carry the essence of Guyana wherever I go, celebrating our collective identity and looking forward to connecting with others who share my love for our beautiful homeland.
