Hello! I’m Yoli Persaud, a proud hairdresser based in Bank Essequibo, nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, often referred to as "the land of many waters." This name reflects the rich tapestry of rivers and waterways that define our country, including the majestic Essequibo River, which many of us hold dear. Growing up, I have been surrounded by the diverse cultures that make Guyana so unique. From the delicious flavors of pepperpot and fresh fish curry to the vibrant celebrations of Mashramani, I have always embraced my heritage. As a part of the diaspora, I enjoy connecting with fellow Guyanese around the world, sharing stories and experiences that celebrate our identity.
