Hello! I’m Yougraj Persaud, a proud mason from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in the heart of this vibrant landscape, I’ve always been inspired by the warmth and hospitality of our people, especially when sharing a plate of chana and roti with family and friends. Whether it's the bustling streets of Georgetown or the serene views along the Pomeroon River, my roots run deep in this stunning country.
As a mason, I take great pride in crafting structures that contribute to the rich tapestry of Guyanese architecture. The mix of cultures, from our Indigenous heritage to our African and Indian influences, is something I celebrate in my work. Just like the diverse flavors of our local cuisine, I believe that every brick I lay tells the story of our community and its resilience.
In my spare time, I enjoy connecting with fellow Guyanese, both at home and abroad. It's heartwarming to hear comments like “GT born” and “I love you thank you for bringing me closer to our culture,” which remind me of the strong ties we share, no matter where we are in the world. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
