Hello! I'm Youranie Wilkinson, proud resident of Coast x School Street Sparta in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant cultures of my homeland, I carry a deep appreciation for our rich traditions, from the mouth-watering flavors of pepperpot and cook-up rice to the rhythmic beats of our folk music. My heart beats for the community, and I often find myself exploring the Lower Pom River, soaking in the tranquility and the breathtaking views that make our country so special.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the bond that unites us, whether we’re sharing a plate of roti or reminiscing about the days spent at local festivals like Mashramani. I feel a strong connection to my fellow Guyanese, both at home and abroad, and I believe in the power of community to uplift and support one another.
