Greetings from the vibrant heart of Guyana! I’m Yvonne James, a proud policewoman serving my community from Coast 54, Bedford Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich traditions of Guyana, I’ve come to appreciate the beautiful blend of cultures that make our nation unique. From the spicy aroma of pepperpot to the sweet treats of coconut and cassava, every meal tells a story of our heritage.
The cultural richness of our country is not just found in our food but in every corner of our towns and villages. I’ve walked along the banks of the River Makouria Island and enjoyed the view from the famous River GT. Kitty Lower Pom. These places hold memories of laughter and camaraderie, and they remind me of the warmth and resilience of our people.
